Introduction
This page and the materials here are provided as a public service to promote the development of efficient address systems to facilitate cost-effective delivery of letters and parcels by postal systems, private carriers, and express services. Address databases and location technologies are fundamental for any economy, and increasingly so as e-commerce tools and the Internet in general can bring together buyers and sellers on a global basis. Please read the blog of August 27, 2009 for a proposal on addressing by the Editor. If you are not already registered with us, we encourage you to do so in order to receive email notices of additions to this library and to blog entries.
